NYC Locations from Spider-Man, Avengers and Marvel Movies
New York City is basically a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From Spider-Man swinging through Queens to the Avengers battling aliens over Midtown, here is every real NYC location you can visit from the Marvel movies.
The Avengers (2012)
Stark Tower / Avengers Tower
Real location: The MetLife Building, 200 Park Avenue. The CGI Stark Tower was placed on top of this building. Stand on Park Avenue looking north for the exact movie angle.
Battle of New York – Grand Central Area
Real location: Park Avenue Viaduct around Grand Central Terminal. The famous shot of the Avengers assembling in a circle was filmed here. The shawarma restaurant? Filmed in LA, but theres great shawarma on East 53rd Street.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Peters School
Real location: Midtown School of Science and Technology is actually the Bronx High School of Science exterior, combined with interiors filmed in Atlanta.
Washington Monument Scene
Not NYC, but the Queens scenes were filmed around Astoria and Long Island City. The bodega Peter visits? Classic Queens corner store vibes.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
The Statue of Liberty Battle
Real location: Liberty Island. You can take the ferry and stand where the final battle CGI was placed. The scaffolding scene was all digital but the island is real and visitable.
Doctor Strange (2016)
The Sanctum Sanctorum
Real location: 177A Bleecker Street, Greenwich Village. The building exists (its actually a residential building). The exterior was used as reference for the movie set.
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
The Crane Scene
Real location: The swinging-through-cranes scene was set along 6th Avenue in Midtown. Walk down 6th Avenue from 50th to 42nd Street for the vibe.
Gwen Stacys Apartment
Real location: Filmed at a building on East 19th Street in Gramercy Park.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
The Greenwich Village Battle
Real location: The scene where Ebony Maw attacks Doctor Strange was set in Greenwich Village around Bleecker Street and MacDougal Street. Walk those blocks — the brownstones are exactly what you see in the film.
Hawkeye (Disney+ 2021)
Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
Real location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The opening battle scene takes place at the iconic Christmas tree. Visit in December for the real thing.
